They were upgradedthe car and add extra charge from what I have reserved online. The car and price are reasonable.
Worst rental experience of my life. I can’t believe this place is in business. The counter guy was great but condition of the car and customer service is horrific. I was disgusted with my rental.
I have rented big SUVs, mid-sized sedans, subcompacts, and even sporty Mustangs -clean, dependable rides - for one day up to one or two weeks at a time. I cannot recommend this little satellite store, about three miles from the airport, highly enough!
The company has bent over backwards to accommodate me in every way imaginable. For example, my cousin died unexpectedly and I needed immediate round-trip transportation to St. Louis from Melbourne. These super-nice folks gave me a larger vehicle at the lesser rate to help on my fuel costs.
Never go to this place. The rental car business is just a counter at the back corner of the Sears autoshop. When I went there, there were only one guy working at the counter and I was 3rd in line. After the first customer was done with his stuff, he needed a ride to Melbourne airport so the guy told me and the girl in front of me that he will be back in 10 to 15 minutes he needed to give his customer a ride. I waited 15 minutes and left and was so angry. If you are going to provide free rides to the airport you need more than one person working. I am still surprised that he left two customer in line and left the building. I'm never going to this place again. I should have just used the airport rental car place
Quite possibly the absolute worst vehicle rental; customer service, I've ever experienced. I booked a reservation online, obtained the conformation number and printed the documents simply trying to be proactive and respectfully as the time frame was quickly approaching the final hour of the posted business hours. Upon dropping my vehicle off at Sears Automotive to be serviced (family in tow,) I approached the Budget Express rental counter to pursue my vehicle rental. Greeted by the representative in an extremely rushed, completely disrespectful fashion, I was told "I don't have a reservation booked for you." I proceeded to furnish my documents to show my reservation was clearly booked. The gentleman then stated "I'm about to close up and I've already ran my closing reports, there's nothing I can do as I don't have any vehicles to provide." I then focused his attention to an ENTIRE parking lot of vehicles on display and advised the gentleman that I'm literally truly in a hardship at this point. I pleaded with the gentleman to see if there was quite possibly anything he could do, as again my entire family was present. He then stated "It's not my concern. I usually call our customers to let them know I don't have any vehicles, I simply didn't have time to do so. I'd suggest getting a cab or an Uber!" Are you serious? I truly thought I was on one of the reality shows were cameras and a recording crew were going to jump out. End result, my family and I took an Uber to a competitor (Enterprise) who's service was absolutely polar opposite. Way to go Budget Car Rental! You absolutely show that the customer is truly in your best interest!
