I always love this place. Very homely, always. The staff is always friendly, there are a few that do not look like they enjoy their jobs, but the majority, it is a very olde timey environment. Always a good selection of meals, and the store is always decorated very nice. It is a clean establishment and keeps everything stocked.
Very consistent food. Down home cooking. Vegetable specials are delicious... we love Lima Bean day! Usually crowded mornings and weekends. I love their apple butter on biscuits. Decent breakfasts... they cook eggs to your liking (over easy, etc) and the country smoked meats are good. Offer a kids meal menu and offer breakfast all day long. Lunch/dinner starts at 11.
Love me some french toast and bacon! The wait staff is great, food is always spot on, management present.
We were there on a Friday morning and the place was extremely busy we expected a bit of a wait we were seated immediately and the waitress was there right away we put our order in. Unfortunately it went downhill from there we did wait quite awhile for our food, the waitress never came back to check on us ran out of drinks, food was brought by somebody else, the order was wrong, once again waited for our food and ran out of drinks. Once we got the food it was really good still ran out of drinks again, and the waitress never checked up on us but was there to leave a check. Love the French toast special hope they keep it for more than just the holiday season.
Delicious home style food and pretty decent prices. An awesome country setting and decor. Plus I love the store/gift shop when you first enter the building. Large variety of fun and interesting items from clothing to candles! Plus they always have some sales going on!
