They can’t manage their own business, how can they possibly manage my pain. I have stomach cancer, stomach removed, part of my esophagus, have esophageal spasms and struggle with swallowing, they ordered large oxycodone pills with Tylenol which get stuck upon swallowing. I needed the liquid form but no one seems to be listening. Will try again on Monday 12/04/2017.
Impossible to get my Pain Mngt Dr to call me back. I was written a script for Fentanyl Patch. My pharmacy won’t be able to fill it until next week, I tried to call my doctor to let them know since I now have no pain medication and no one even called me back. All calls go to a phone message not good.
Told me that the laws changed 3 months ago and they could not prescribe pain medication and that it would not be good to waste money seeing the Dr. Well I am 26 and need a complete left knee replacement and I have no insurance. I have 5 bulging discs from L3 to S2. I have severe back pain, nerve pain, my left knee is completely wore out and was told by a surgeon that the surgery I need is beyond his scope of sports medicine and was more then willing to write me 3 prescriptions but that was all he could do. He told me I would not have an issue finding a Dr to give me the care I need. I was told 11 years ago I would need a knee replacement but they would not do it until I was 30. Well now I'm 26, I have zero cusioning in my left knee, I have bone spurs, and my bone marrow is being irritated and damaged. This office asked the Dr to look at my MRI, because I know they prescribe narcotics, within 3 minutes the receptionist came out and said no he will not see you. I am not able to work, I cannot enjoy my life and because I'm young I am in the prime of my life I guess.. I don't need medication... Dr Garcia never looked at my xray, MRI nor the surgeons recommendations and ignored the fact that in bold letters he wrote IS INDIGENT, CANNOT AFFORD THE SURGERY, HE NEEDS PAIN MANAGEMENT UNTIL HE CAN FIND A DOCTOR TO PERFORM THE SURGERY. He did not read the urgent care report or the report from neuroskeletal imaging. I never got to see the doctor. Nowhere on health first website nor the office says they do not prescribe narcotics. My aunt gets her pain medication from the doctor I went to go see...... I am still waiting for ssi/ssdi. I am stuck home all day and I get zero help. I had to leave high school due to my severe pain and I had to quit 2 jobs. I'm not out looking to get high, I'm looking for relief for my severe pain, I want to get my life back to normal. Yes I am young, but I have had multiple surgeries, have been on pain management in the past back in Ri. I move here and I walk in and I must be a junkie.... never gave me a chance to tell him my symptoms, or give me an exam, not even a referral to a pain management Dr. I cannot afford 400.00 initial visit and I'm not guaranteed any treatments, if I did get into it it's 175.00 a month plus the medication cost. I am not working, I can't work. I want to... I was told by Palm bay hospital that 3 years ago, health first changed their policy about prescribing narcotics. Well from a health first doctors office, was told 3 months...
If you have severe, chronic pain, do NOT go to this place. Staff is under the misapprehension that they are DEA agents. And that's about as much as they accomplish.
