The hotel overall was nice for an ocean front location. The rooms have an ocean view from the balconies, but they are not directly ocean facing. The restaurant is typical of a hot of this caliber. The bar/lounge is nice and also has a spacious outdoor deck with bar and food service. There is also direct beach access from the deck. This would be a nice place for a couple to come for a relaxing getaway.
My family booked this hotel months in advance for a social event. When we arrived, the hotel was in disprepair (likely from the recent storm) and the pool hours were changed to 9 am till dusk effective (coincidentally) the night we arrived. Dusk during DST in Florida is between 6-7pm. The on-duty manager offered no recompense, despite the fsct that we were told the pool closed much later when we paid for the rooms. Overall, it was a below average experience for the price we paid. Considering it's right next to a collection of other hotels, we'll probably not be staying there again.
Second night there we decided to go to the hot tub and share some drinks, the hot tub was full of floating God knows what. After walking back to return towels we told the front desk girl about it and she said she would have maintenance go out right away. Our room overlooked the pool area, I sat on the balcony with some music for another hour or so and no site of maintenance ever went to the hot tub.
We checked in weds night, for an anniversary get away. We didn't know the hotel was under renovation which made it quite unpleasant to sleep in, or really enjoy any time at the hotel it's self.
Very nice oceanfront hotel, lovely rooms directly facing the ocean, some with balconies and some corner rooms with dual views. Nice deck in the back right on the ocean with bar service and entertainment on various nights. Great food. Full-service hotel with banquet facilities, ballrooms and accommodations for all kinds of events, both inside and on the deck oceanfront. Very experienced and accommodating staff for event planning. Really nice place!
We are not going to stay here in the future, but will return to Melbourne. Nice area, wonderful food choices and fun to play.
