I was wrongfully charged with a DUI. The prosecutor's initial offer was 120 days jail time, 5 year license suspension and 1 year NO hardship license. I decided to go to trial. Prior to trial commencing they were willing to drop the jail time and the NO hardship clause but would not agree to a reckless. After the first day of cross examination of the arresting officer, the prosecutor was more than enthusiastic to drop the jail time, the 5 year license suspension, the NO hardship clause, granted the reckless, and all of this even before the jury got to see the arresting video.
