My mother in law was a patient at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne Fl and she received outstanding care there. She had been discharged from a local hospital's ICU and the nursing care at Kindred was on par or better than the care received there. I was worried she was going to go from a 1 critical care nurse to 2 patients ratio to being ignored down a long hall, but that was far from the case. The nurses were in and out of the room all the time and the level of care delivered was excellent. The respiratory therapists were also highly skilled, and genuinely concerned with helping her breathe and feel better. We were very pleased with her medical management as well. Of note, the rounding physician took a lot of time talking to my husband and the family about his mom's prognosis and her medical care options, and offered considerations and insight that was very helpful when the end of life was inevitably near. He made an exceedingly difficult time more bearable and I know my husband was grateful for that.
I had just went through a nightmare experience with my Dad at an out of state hospital, and dealing with horrible care standards became just as (and at times even more) stressful than his catastrophic health issue, so I was *very* relieved that there was no stress related to the quality of care she received at Kindred. Plainly put, everyone was wonderful.
Please continue to value all these wonderful people you have. There is a cleaning person who is an absolute blessing. She always did a great job and always made a sick person smile. Up in CCU is outstanding!!! Down on 2, they are good as well and try really hard. Everyone has been great but there are some who are outstanding. Mary Ann, tech is efficient, compassionate and friendly. You should be proud and honored to have people like this on your staff. Really good and caring people there. It's all about there personal touch.
The nurses make every effort to make you comfortable. My doctor took extra time to listen and explain and help. Quite pleased with my care.
The Melbourne facility and staff are amazing! The staff was very attentive and informing when it came to the care of my husband. We just visited about a month ago, just so the staff could see their hard work did not go unnoticed. The facility was clean at all times. The staff was always pleasant and courteous. The nurses are truly caring people. Thank you Kindred of Melbourne for taking care of my loved one.
The facility itself is modern and appeared clean and well maintained, and my mother in law's room was kept spotless...I really can't say enough good things about our experience at Kindred Hospital Melbourne and am very thankful to all the staff there.
This hospital is miles ahead from other hospitals. The nursing staff is great. We had 99.9% excellent care there. They do a stellar job. They need to teach other hospitals how to treat people.
