An employee at a local business stole my credit card information and pretended to be me at my bank. When I called to file an incident report they told me that "87% of our calls are like this" and that they wouldn't do anything to prevent this fraudster from doing it again. This was a huge disappointment, I have lost all trust and faith in this police department now. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
Worst police I have ever dealt with. Rather than trying to help you, they simply yell at you telling you you're stupid for this reason or another and tell you there's nothing they can do about it. Do they train them to be assholes I wonder? Because instead of feeling relieved I got some answers, I know have nothing to go off of, and now I'm debating my self worth. So thank you MPD for making a girl with morbid depression feel even shittier about herself. All I wanted was some simple answers, why do you have to yell at me for it?

Called 911 becuase this lady I encountered running a local business was being harassed and threatened by a guy with a known history of domestic abuse. I offered to stay until 911 arrived thinking surely it would be a quick response. After ONE HOUR they didn’t show up and when I called 911 back they said they had more important things to do like deal with fender benders and they would send someone at next shift change. It is completely unacceptable for the police to not show up. This guy meanwhile was outside cuasing issues and threatening her safety. I don’t know what would have happened had I not been there. I will be filling a complaint with the state. It is horrifying to me to have such an incompetent response to a 911 call where an active crime was being committed.
